Our Pricing Policy

Our aim is to provide a professional service at minimal costing.  This can be achieved with your co-operation and assistance.  We will suggest that you provide us with the text (in MS Word format) together with any illustrations (and photographs) that you may require within the main body of the web pages.  This will obviate the need for the typing and graphics work to be done by AbacusWebs.

Don't worry.  If you are unable to provide this input, then we will happily negotiate with you to provide the facilities.

The final cost will depend upon many aspects, mainly:-

• How many pages will you require?

 

• How do you want us to supply your finished website?

 

• Will you require AbacusWebs to arrange an acceptable domain name?

 

• Will you require AbacusWebs to arrange for hosting?

 

• Will we be able to negotiate the content electronically or will you require one, or more, personal visits?

 

• Any extras that you may require will attract charges.

 

To summarise.

AbacusWebs will provide you with a professional looking website similar to this one for a basic costing of approximately £200 - £300.  Unlike most other web designers, we are upfront with our pricing and do not hide our fees (like some other companies) - we suggest you shop around - If they publish their prices, you will find web designers charging up to £600 for providing a similar service.

Once your web has been produced we will arrange for a viewing showing how it will look once published.  If there are any minor errors they will be amended free of charge.  N.B. This is not an excuse to introduce changes.

AbacusWebs can arrange the purchase of an acceptable domain name and hosting of your website.  We will not be charging silly money - It will, however, depend on the choice of domain name as these charges can vary.  As a broad guide, the domain name {www.yourname.co.uk}  would cost approximately £50 per year^*.  (Typically, you could be paying £200 a year just for the hosting).

N.B.  Payment for the agreed domain name must be made before any website design can begin.

The only other charges involved would be for changes to the web pages.  Again, to keep down prices we are offering, this service on an hourly basis with an estimate prior to commencement of any work.  We charge £25 per hour^** for any changes (with a minimum one hour charge) so you determine your costs.
